Not happening till Monday week now, it seems... there's been a power cut at TVC

Why does a power cut at TVC stop the BBC news 24 change. The rest of the BBC seems to be functioning alright.

    They couldn't do tests/pilots, apparently.

On Friday, BBC NEWS 24 ran from the Breakfast studio until 10:30am (including an unscheduled HardTalk at 9:30am) then from Millbank until 4pm or thereabouts. The BBC News at One O'Clock ran on both BBC ONE and BBC NEWS 24 from Millbank.

Sure enough, BBC NEWS 24 has not relaunched, and will not do so now until Monday 8th.

Oh, and apparently BBC WORLD will get a slight makeover at the same time.

    I like.

Very nice studio, Graphics etc. I wish Sky news would take suit & have a revamp. It's really looking dated ATM.

Oh, BTW BBC World has got almost the same makeover as BBC News 24 aswell.

Only noticed it today! It looks a lot better, though not sure about the big red square with the clock. Still tidier than other news channels though.

I still need to sit down and watch it properly - there was just far too much coverage of the rugby procession on Monday, and I haven't done any more than flick through it since. That new clock with the rotating globe might be a bit of a distraction, but we'll see. I'm also not too sure as of yet about the change of typeface. I like Gill Sans, and the new font looks a little too pointy in comparison. But that's based on less than two minutes of viewing, so I may change my mind.
