Best poker hand you've won?

I was playing in a Poker Classic for Charity, so it wasn't big stakes or anything, but I was dealt the 4, 6 and 7 of spades plus 2 more (5 card draw btw), and stayed in the betting on the off chance I'd get a straight.

Betting continues until I exchange 2 cards, and somehow get the 5 and 8 of spades, leaving me with a straight flush to the 8 of spades.

So I'm thinking nice one, going to clean up here, and continue to bet strongly, but one guy keeps coming back and re-raising, everyone else by this stage had folded.
It goes back and forth, raise and re-raise, until we're both pretty much all-in,

Time for the cards to go down so, I lay down my straight flush and he lays down.........4 Aces...

Everyone oohs and ahhs, and I sweep up the chips with the biggest shit-eating grin ever on my face.

striaght flush is the best i've ever managed. though i have yet to see a royal flush, never been at a table when one occured though we do live in hope.

lafortezza, that was a very nice hand id say, love hands like that when you're just the one hand better, thats when the big showdowns come into play and there just isnt anything more exciting.

I've been dealt 4 aces in Draw Poker straight off the bat. I even got to exchange the kicker card just to make it look like I had two pair. :)
I've been dealt a few pokers in my time and I dealt a Royal Flush in Hold'em to a total newbie whose reaction was "oh thats pretty!"

    DeV.

Yesterday (Thurs) I was dealt AK three times in a row in Hold'em. The first time I made AAAKK, second time KKKAA and the final time AAAAK. After that I could raise what I liked and steal the blinds all night long. Best session I ever had money wise.

In a nice run of luck I've hit a straight flush four times in the last four months, playing Hold 'em once a week or so.

Actually managed to lose with the last one: 6789 of clubs on the board, I had the 5, someone else had the ten. It couldn't last I suppose

Imagine being dealt pocket queens and getting a flop with Q JJ and losing. Imagine flopping a poker of Jacks and losing. Imagine the river gave the full house of Queens another Queen to make a poker of Queens.... and losing... because one of the community Queens and one of the community Jacks were spades. The turn brought a 10 of spades... giving some lucky guy a Royal Flush. That's the type of thing that happens once in a lifetime. I just hope, if it does happen again, I will be there, and I hope, I will be the one with the royal flush. Wow.

online i have hit 4 aces in one tournament and lucky me started a role and went on to win. But in a live tournament 3 kings with a queen kicker is the best i got and lost to an ace kicker

I know omaha - is different - but there's a certain guy who plays in the fitz, who hit a royal flush 3 times in a week, twice within 24 hours(sitting in the same seat), and 2 out of these 3 times was against the same guy - some people have all the luck.....anyone who plays omaha in the fitz - can guess who this person is.

I've had 2222J in 5 card draw when 2's were wild,
A few straight flushes, 1 live, 2 online.

Funniest hand was holding KQ on a KKQ flop, managed to get it in when the turn and river came to complete a board of KKQQK

First time I ever dealt within 10 minutes there was a hand where someone got 4 Queens but lost to a royal flush

Kinda silly hand but pocket 9's is my favorite hand and I have a spooky (particularly) live winning habit with them, either with or against them.

This particular hand, got short stacked early in my poker league game and was in auto raise / push mode, mostly just picking up blinds but eventually a lad called my all in when naturally I had the monster of 10 6o. I mused aloud that 'I hope you have 9's'..... he duly tabled two lovely red ones and I apologised in advance (whilst standing up naturally) for the horrid beat I was about to bestow on this unlucky player......

    Flop A 4 Q

    Turn Q

    River A

My 10 played and I went on to win the game..... I can remember the hand still as if it was yesterday, which I guess is a prerequisite for 'best poker hand I've won' I guess........ it was SWEEEEEEEEET!!! :D

    Proudest:
Omaha cash game. Manage to get myself all in preflop vrs 3 other people with something like 2234. The ducks hold up!!

    Best:
Flopped royal flush once and got paid - defo prefer the ducks

    Funniest:
Wasn't involved but game just after new bond film came out. 2 friends involved in a hand and one is in the middle of explaining how stupid the poker story in the movie is. While he's telling it his pocket pair hits the nut full house. He retains his calm, plays on and conversation goes:

"I mean hitting the nut full house and losing to a straight flush - what a load of rubbish. Typical movie crap!! I've the house"

    Friend 2: "Straight flush"

Don't bump years old threads please, and don't embarrass the mods by showing how noob they once were.
