    I am trying to remember the name of a book,

    Dark Time, Dark History, Dark Ages ??? -google and amazon only give loads of history books !

    Set present time, main heroine gets chased by cops near Greenham common as her friend is a protester, is involved in a crash, nasties (saxons, wraiths etc.) from times gone by start to put in an apearance, she is rescued and locked up in an asylum as the cops think she is barking mad.

    She gets out only to find that she is either going insane or the past starts intruding again and the whole save the world rollercoaster begins !

    Think it was a UK author.
    What was it called ????
