Can I get Sport + a french channel

    Help .

    I am wondering is anyone out there can advise me . Can I get sport+ a french channel linked to canal + froma sky dish .If not . any ideas how I may getthis .

    I have scanned all my sats and I can't find a channel called Sport + on anything from Hispasat 30W to Turksat 1B 31.3E

    Have you an exact channel name, sat, freq and I'll find out what I can for you?

    To be able to receive Sport+ you would need to go down the road of getting a Digital Receiver (non sky box)a cam like joker or magic or Matrix reloaded cam, and then also a programmer for cards. A mini dish would be good enough to bring in Astra.

    I would advise you to hold fire if you are thinking about investing as there are rumours surfacing that this package may be changing their encryption sometime in December.

    Spot on Leonard.

    I use a magic cam with a fun card 4 and it works a treat. Although I never watch the channel in question I just just checked it out and it is clear. Showing cartoons fo some reason but clear. The same card/cam combination gets me the AB package and a whole lot more, Canal + from everywhere in Europe. A motorised dish would be advisable, in Roscommon I get great results from a 1m combined with Technomate receiver. The receiver / card / cam cost about €250 8/9 months ago. All are advertised in the What Satellite magazine and delivery was only 4/5 days.
