    Jem and the Holograms
    Care Bears
    My Little Pony

They all seems so Long ago ... i see care bears ,He man and my little pony making a return on DVD.
Does anyone know anything about Rainbow Brite or Jem appearing on DVD?

I went on a big turtles/M.A.S.K nostalgia buzz recently and I saw that the turtles actually did an episode in Ireland. They even go to dublin zoo. It's called "The Irish Jig is Up"...classic!

And the Mysterious cities of Gold was absolutely amazing! I got a few episodes a while back and it's mad how much you can remember

Dungeons and Dragons was pretty good too.

I'll bet anyone that PopTart is a girlie.

(I have to confess that I'd rather get my eyes clawed out by a rusty spoon than watch Care Bears, even now. I saw a few minutes of the movie last Christmas and it was so happywappy I felt like breaking something)

M.A.S.K. (don't forget the dots!) was great - sure it's my avatar isn't it!

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was fun.

Then there was: The Mysterious Cities of Gold, of which I've about half the episodes. And let's not forget Ulysses 31 or Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds, both of which were class with great theme tunes. Nobody remebers Robotech however, which makes me a sad panda...

I do! And I thought nobody else remembered it. Well, that's two Boardser's (at least) who remember Robotech. It's a start, I suppose.

The transformers were definitely the best, there's a thread here which has links to scans of the comics if you want to take a trip down memory lane. Also liked M.A.S.K. a lot.

No one mentioned Thundercats or The Centurions

Ah the time when cartoons were good! Superted, Jamie and the magic torch, bananaman, Batfink, Count Duckula, Defenders of the earth, all *kin deadly. Do ye remember the tv shows like Supergran, Streethawk, Riptide, and Hunter?

Dungeons and dragons is the best - class....

I'm trying to remember the name of another show - not an animated one though. I think it was set in Australia with these kids going up against these weird alien type enemies - they were called the wilberforce or something like that. Anyone remeber the name?????

I absolutely loved Riptide & Hunter ... As far as I can remember, they used to be on SkyOne [when it came out first] on a friday evening [RipTide first then Hunter]!!

If memory serves, in RipTide the boat was called the EbTide and the chopper was called the Screaming Mimi ... Man I loved that programme

I loved DiDi McCall's car in Hunter ...

    Ah the 80's when TV wasn't cr@p!! :D

    Ducktales!

Saturday morning just hasn't been the same since :(

They show The Turtles on the Cartoon Network (or some other digital channel) these days but the theme song isn't the same.
....Heroes in a half shell! Turtle Power! :D

Does anyone remember a cartoon/figureen type thing about Jeremy the Bear who had a magic suitcase that could turn into a boat/car/helicopter or whatever? I think he was trying to get somewhere to save someone or something, while baddies tried to relieve him of his unusual luggage!

Battle of the Planets was the biggie for me as a kid. I also have fond, if not unsettling, memories of HR Puffinstuff.

Thundercats, where there stranded on a plant. Sounds like Earth2 stole the story line a number of years later!

    Eh not reallly....

And Earth 2 had no Mum-Ra therefore it wasn't a patch on Thundercats. Snarf.

Yep, I remember them well, too. Hunter used to be on of a Friday night (9 p.m. I think) but wasn't Riptide on of a Saturday afternoon around midday or 1 p.m. or something? I can't recall it being on of a Friday night. Maybe it was, I can't remember, it's so long ago now.

Yep, the pink chopper was indeed called The Screaming Mimi, a great big old Westland Wessex (familiar to people from the North, I'm sure, from back around the 70's and 80's!). I think they were licensed to be built by Sikorsky in the US and they were called Chocktaws, or something like that, in the States.

I remember that car as well. Much nicer than the battered old Ford or Chevy or whatever it was Rick Hunter drove! :D I think her car was a Chevy Camaro, wasn't it? It looked a lot like one anyway, if I remember correctly. But I thought Hunter's gun was the f**king business. I think it was a .44 Magnum Desert Eagle, wasn't it? Man, that thing could punch some serious holes in concrete walls, let alone the damage it used to inflict on other people!

Oh, and a point for whoever can remember Rick Hunter's catchphrase without looking at the spoiler. ;)

    "Works for me!"
