I might have to go to Dublin to do some weekend courses (Landsdowne Rd area) in new year - what is my best bet accomadation wise?

I'd be sort of looking for decent but value for money?

    Sort of B&B or hostels?

    Any good websites?

Two choices area wise - city centre or Ballsbridge / Donnybrook. Ballsbridge has quite a few hotels and expensive guest houses (4 to 4.5 star). Donnybrook has a bunch of guest houses and some tourist hostels (2-4 star). Both are within walking distance of Lansdownce Road. Beware of rugby weekends though.

Use this for maps http://212.17.39.71/dto/content/planner.asp and this for properties http://www.goldenpages.ie/Search.asp put in Dublin 1/2 (city centre) Dublin 4 (Ballsbridge / Donnybrook) in for location.
