...it's so annoying (even though I do think that William Shatner's version of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds rocks!).

I saw Patrick Stewart on a Christmas Marks and Sparks ad last week... why? If he really has to do that, why not in Japan only? It'll annoy me now the next time I watch TNG - he's lost credibility in my eyes! "Plot a course for the M&S System, ensign!".

At least they haven't shown the ad *during* TNG, not yet anyway.

Mr Nimoy Singing about Bilbo ....

And that whole TJ Hooker thing.

Then again some of the Bab5 actors did strange things early in there early careers -eg: Bester ;)

Leonard Nimoy - The Ballad Of Bilbo Baggins

In the middle of the earth in the land of the Shire
lives a brave little hobbit whom we all admire.
    With his long wooden pipe,
    fuzzy, woolly toes,
he lives in a hobbit-hole and everybody knows him

    Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
    He's only three feet tall
    Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all

Now hobbits are a peace-lovin' folks you know
They don't like to hurry and they take things slow
They don't like to travel away from home
They just want to eat and be left alone
But one day Bilbo was asked to go
on a big adventure to the caves below,
to help some dwarves get back their gold
that was stolen by a dragon in the days of old.

    Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
    He's only three feet tall
    Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all

Well he fought with the goblins!
    He battled a troll!!
    He riddled with Gollum!!!
    A magic ring he stole!!!!
    He was chased by wolves!!!!!
    Lost in the forest!!!!!!
Escaped in a barrel from the elf-king's halls!!!!!!!

    Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all

Now he's back in his hole in the land of the Shire,
that brave little hobbit whom we all admire,
just a-sittin' on a treasure of silver and gold
a-puffin' on his pipe in his hobbit-hole.

    Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
    He's only three feet tall
    Bilbo! Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins
The bravest little hobbit of them all

Check out how much he's getting per movie! Stewart needs to earn extra cash about as much as Michael Jackson needs to change his middle name to Chester.

Back on topic tho I still think William Shatners live performances of tracks from his album 'Transformed Man' are much more embarrasing (and therefore funnier) than Nimoys stuff.

Chase Masterson (aka Leela from DS9) spent the entire time at the London convention promoting her new album which was basically cover versions of some really old blues songs. Considering that I haven't heard anything about it since I can only presume that it wasn't really a huge success.
