Drummer Wanted! For Hard working band

Ok, here's the deal. We know drummers are rare in Ireland coz kits are soo f u c k i n expensive but there must be someone out there who suits us. We have our own studio, are based in South east Dublin (on the DART line), have written tonnes of our own songs, we're making our album now, and using session musicians where needed. We are COMPLETELY DEDICATED and need a drummer who is of similar frame of mind (practice 3 times a week min.). Our first drummer was a bit half assed and over played everywhere! So he had to go, we've used session drummers since but we want our own.

We need a drummer who has a few years experience, can keep good time, can also work with click tracks (for recording), knows how to approach different genres with suitable playing ie: brush drumming for Jazzy tunes, Fat beats for Funk and hip hop tunes, knows that over the Top Hard Rock drumming with cymbals constantly crashing doesn't sound good if it happens all of the time. We do love the 70's DRUM SOUND, we hate the 80's and 90's drum sound (production wise).

We DON'T do covers. We play and write using different genres, different instruments (Korgs and Rolands keyboards, Guitar and Synth FX) trying to create something that sounds fresh. We love Funk, Rock, Jazz Experimental, Hip Hop, Ambient. Here's examples of some of our favourite Artists, if you must know:

    Rolling Stones (late 60's-70's)
    Bowie
Stevie Wonder (70's ONLY! no ballads)
    Sly and the Family Stone
    Television
    The Velvet Underground
    Roxy Music
    Herbie Hancock (Headhunter era)
The feckin Beatles (there last 3 years works)
    Led Zeppelin
    The Roots
    Bob Dylan
    AIR
    Neil Young
    Outkast
    Talking Heads
    Moloko
    Basement Jaxx

...you get the idea, if its really good music regardless of genre, we like it. We don't care if you're a Guy or a Girl (aged 18-30ish) once you can drum and fit in. Also YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR OWN KIT. We've spent a fortune on the studio so far, we can't afford more purchases. Text or call me if you're interested on 087 9765632 (Fran). Thanks very much.

    over and oot.

....just a bump up here. I'd like to add that we are really proficient Live band and have gigged all over Dublin. We're looking to start that again ASAP even though we're making our album. Cheers
