Na I work from time to time on macs on different sites, and everytime it seems that boards.ie just does not load fast at all compared to PC's. I was using a PC iswell on the site today, and this place was bombing along, but on the mac it was like sub 56k speed?

i had the same prob its an easy fix

just go to edit/preferences/web content and turn off enable scripting

you lose the use of the java at the to of the boards page but you dont have to wait ages for a page to load

    hope this helps

First off, don't use IE on a mac, it's the worst browser around. I installed Mozilla Firebird during the week and boards is grand now. Safari also loads boards fine but the topic list at the top of the index page is all jumbled up and unreadable. Granted, I downloaded the newest version, it might render properly in the newest.

Yeah, it's the drop down scripty menu thing that is the problem. Although I get a slowness when using pC's with the drop down.

Another fast browser for boards is iCab.
