hell ya, you'd be surprised the amount of weirdos around like me that still collect them. They're makin a big comeback now what with the new armada line of toys and show out. there is even a new movie comin out in 2005 and a game has just been released for the ps2 !!

ah the Transformers. God I used to love those cartoons. Had a few of the toys as well. Haven't a clue where theya re now. Had forgotten all about them for a good many years until I had a look at some of the avatars here on boards. Juding by them alone there should be quite a few fans knocking about.

You'd be lucky to pick one up now. if you do see one cheap i'd advise you to get it! the older generation 1 can be worth a nice bit of cash!

the armada isn't a continuation - its a different storyline. the minicons were little transformers that could be used by the autobots or decepticons to unlock special abilities. the minicons left cybertron to escape the fighting. they crash-landed on earth(of course!!) so now the fight is being brought to earth. i think thats the rough storyline but i haven't seen any episodes for a while cos im back in college now.

As far as I can recall I had the following:

Aerialbots - 5 planes which made up Superion
Red Alert - A fire engine
Tracks - A cool blue corvette
Hoist - A green tow truck

There were a few of the smaller ones, but at the time I didn't consider them 'proper' transformers :rolleyes:

There was one other as well, it was a big one that transformed into a lot of different things, nearly 9 of them I think. There was a tank, a gun, a plane and some others. Can't remember the name of it though. Anyone any ideas on the name of the big guy?


/edit Just had a look at the comics from the link posted above. Picked issue 9 at random and 7 of 9 from Voyager is on the front cover!!! (uncanny resemblance)

Don't like any of that generation 2 or transformers armada stuff.

Bought the entire season 1 on dvd for a friend of mine.
Season 2 part 1 can be gotten, five faces of darkness (the first few eps of season 3) and the rebirth (the entire very short season 4). The film took place between seasons 2 and 3.
