So the Intel Centrino...is it good?

    I have a new laptop ordered,with a Centrino 1.5. Are they good? or should i have gone 4 like a P4 3ghz or somethig?

    Well, its a bit late now isn't it :)
    Anyway, to answer your question, for most things you will not notice it being any slower. "Pentium-m" is the name of the cpu, centrino is intels marketing term for a laptop with the intel pentium-m cpu, the intel 855 chipset, and intels wireless lan chipset ).
    It may have half the clock speed of the p4 3.06, but for each tick of the clock, it does 50-60% more work than the p4.
    It will be a little slower for games, but on most laptops, the graphics card is the deciding factor in games. Unless you have the fastest laptop graphics card available, a p4 3.06 would not make games go any faster.
    But the important advantage is that your laptop will run cooler, not burning you as much, and the battery will last longer, as the pentium-m chip is extremely energy efficient.
