Anyone hear Jerry Ryan on the radio talking to a Nigerian scammer this morning?? ...

Basically some old dear fell for it and had the guts to go on the radio about it yesterday (this is not the classic Nigerian scam of helping to get millions out of Nigeria, this one is apparently "you have won a lottery in Spain and ring this number now to find out details of how to claim" (Spanish lottery and the scammer with a thick African accent ))...

Ryan was talking to someone else who was going along with it but alarm bells went off when me man asked for cash ....

So Ryan rang him up and this fella never mentioned paying, it was all good, fill out the form including your bank details etc and fax it to us and we will get back in contact with you, when Ryan pressed him I think he did say there would be a small fee (or words to that effect) ... it will be interesting to hear what happens ..... unfortunately I'll be in training for the next 3 days .... grrr

heard it on the radio earlier. was good.
bloody scammers, after €900 before they transfer €425,000 to you.
    sounds like a great deal.

a lot of the people who fall for scams these days are the elderly. my own gran has fallen for a few of them. they think that nobody would ever do such a horrible thing like scam another person. its a shame that this is far from the truth!

great site on this where a guy baits the scammers and forces them to waste a load of time. Some of the stuff is hilarious and a lot of them are idiiots.
