it appears that no more scroll or missives can be currently sent as the scroll box just inside the the door of the place is stuffed full and has not been emptied in some time. It would appear that all the copies of the missives and notes sent to the watch and various guilds are copied for record keeping and the cleric who prefroms thi sfunction was recntly perscirbed the Bursars own dired frog pill and decied to put the copies back in the post box causing a jam and hence no futher post until the back log is cleared.

I've had the servants clean it out. We would never want to offend a witch. Come in, come in.

I think I speak for a fair bit of this unfair city's population when I say: "WTF?" Or in other word's what the hell?

I'm scared right now, and need some comfort. /Me wanders down to those nice girls in the Guild of Knitters to get it. Maybe they'll let me darn some socks, that always sooths me down.

There is an old charter against puns like that.

I say throw the book at him. The largest book you can find. If I recall correctly, the largest book on the disc would be "The Little Bang Theory, and All it's Diverse Meanings, Explanations, Ramifications, and Other Random Thoughts I've been Having Lately" by Petit E. LittleBottom. Nothing to the Nightwatch Man. Or so i've heard at least.

The cover was designed by BS Johnson to withstand everything from hurricanes to the end of the Disc, and is made of pure Masstarine, the heaviest material on the disc. It was made of this to preserve the important works contained therein, which were at the time considered the authority on the creation of the Universe itself. It measures about 3 storys, and contains a sum total of 12 pages, including forewards, indexes and a picture of the author him/herself. Unfortunately BS Johnson forgot to take into account the effect of human idiocy on the pages contained in his indestrucible cover, and most of the words have now been covered by tea and coffee stains. This is generally thought to not matter after Littlebottom was discovered to in fact be a sizeist, and hated anything to do with the "biggies". His work was discredited, and Littlebotton went underground with his idea's. He went so far underground in fact that no one bothered to follow him.

/Me goes and grabs a fork lift to pick it up for you. I think one or two trolls may just be able to throw it. Not very far mind you. But they can throw it.

"They call themselves seamstresses- 'hem 'hem!" :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,044 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

ah yes the last survey showed 96 members of the seamstresses guild and 2 needles.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 66 ✭✭Sean101

Thats cause u need 48 people just to get the damn thread thru the needles eye.

speaking of damn thread....there are some pretty bad puns here indeed :(

has that book been thrown yet?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,107 ✭✭✭TheSonOfBattles

I second my own motion to get that book thrown. Besides all of which, I still have no idea what the start of this thread was actually about.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 129 ✭✭shock

I'll third that, just to see if it can be done. And what was the start of the thread actually about?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,044 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

If you dont know then you dont need to know ,
    it's a sort of Zen.

shame on you for even suggesting such, cast him of the disc!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 194 ✭✭Dredz

What are you suggesting? That there are some sort of "sekrit" boards that not everyone gets to view?! That's the most prepostorous thing I've ever heard!

And also, you'd understand the thread if you were more popular. tbh

    ook?????????

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,446 ✭✭✭Havelock

Captain Carrot has informed me that the punishment for such puns is the scorpion pit, which thankful, many of which where thoughfully installed in the palace by some of the city's kinder rulers. So you hav been warned.

As for understanding the conversation, you must ask yourself, are you a witch? If not, Do you deal frequently in exhanges with them? If your answer is still negative, then think no futher on the topic as it concerns you not.

Just to be clearer for a moment. In this city *waves hand towards window, looks and shakes head~*, all are treated equal, it is up to your selves to understand that and learn how to live and how to ask questions (One finds improper questioning tends to dramatically shorten life in this city).

(~=Its foggy out, sometimes weather in this city has no concept of narrative equette, ie: Lightning and Thunder in Uberwald, is constantly on que)

Ah so its a popularity thing. or is it.
after all denial leads to belief.

Well it seems the circumstances that where the reason this thread has started have occured yet again.

Really no point clearing things up after such porceeduare error is there is not a system implimeted to prevent it happening again, but then again the dusty dealings of the realms of civil governing would be far to complex for a mere witch who only has her own little patch to tend to. But then again ir's eaier to destroy the box with a good slap of a brrom and instist that all missives are handed in personally . stops the silly requests for those who would make them suddenly see just how silly they are when faced with a stern stare.

Its appaling when one has to handle all of ones things one slef, espically while the Clacks around my office are out or order for almost 2 weeks. One forgets how much one relys on new technology. It shan't happen again. Do witchs and their sort have larger boxs or is it possible to purchase one?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,044 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

are you really enquiring to the size of a witches box Havelock ? or how efficnetly it gets used ?

More pondering on the fact that those capable of unwritting what is written may have larger boxes. Would be yet another reason to learn those skills. At the moment I am Patrician of this city, but I would never take any direct action, there are systems in place for that sort of thing, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be more hands on, ahaha, if you will.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,044 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

that can get messy can shift to another universe to get something un written better to ensure it never getts written to begin with. but then again all those bits of paper esp those about taxes are handy for lighttening a fire or making labels. and well if what was upon them was of any import they would be remebered.

    Witchs have good memorires.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 129 ✭✭shock

Definitly a cross over between some other universe here. Some universe that us mere mortals are not meant to know about. Perhaps some sort of strange non internet based one, if such a thing is possible?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,044 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

For a things to coccur once that is quiet understandible. for it to happentwice only means that all avenues were not explored correctly and plans not implemente in a seemly fashion but Trice and it smacks of ill managmnet at the hight levels and noting the dates and the time period invovled incredulous that it could be simple clerical error.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,446 ✭✭✭Havelock

There is no such clerical error at the moment. The organisation is at its best understress (as it always is), I think thee may have a problem at the moment as the chamber has only five scrolls in it at the moment (the rest have been given to DeQuirm to sort out hidden meanings). I would try to enter again if I where you.
As for the matter of the location of the Regiment I would ask for any intelligence you possess on its whereabouts.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,044 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

Your missing a regiment? oh the city is missing a regiment ? did you but it down some where are forget?
where was the last place you left it , try looking there?

next thing you know you will be missing one of DeQuirms underwater carriages. You really ought to take better care of your toys.

"I" misplaced? The intelligence orginally provided, was misleading.
