Whats the big deal? What extra stuff is been put on /cut out of the film, I heard ther were extra scenes, Or is it really a revamp, a 20 yr old film being seen on the big screen again!!??

I heard it was actually 40 seconds shorter than the original. Which sounds ace. Best idea ever.

There's ONE big extra scene which makes a scene in "Aliens" more logical. There's also a few scenes that have been expanded upon slightly, such as when the Nostromo crew listen to the sound of the alien becan. The movie is still shorter however because Ridley Scott trimmed down other scenes. For example when Dallas is talking to mother.
That and the fact the movie has been digitally re-mastered makes it worth seeing.

the scene where dallas is talking to mother is such a disgrace by todays standards.
in the future, computers will be bigger and noisier.

i think the main new scene in this is the 'nest scene', you'll know the one i mean if you see it - towards the end.

as for the computers thing, better command line interfaces and noisy grinding than dodgy 3d immersive interfaces ala disclosure. *shudder*
