    Hi All,

Just wondered if anyone has come across any training on digital video editing in Ireland? I have seen the guys at NMTT (www.hypermedia7.com) do it, but Im not sure it's actually what Im looking for...

Im looking to move into the video production business, doing wedding and commercial business and want to start off with a good technical understanding of how it all works, including use of video editing hardware/software etc.

    Any assistance appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Voodoo

    Seems like an excellent course.
    http://www.hypermedia7.ie/dv.htm

Alot of it I've already self though myself over the past 3years but I'd love to do the Adobe Premiere part.

    "Duration: 8 weeks 1 night a week 6.30pm - 9.30pm"
    €488.00

120hours in total at about 4 yoyos an hour doesn't seem bad at all. I might look into this myself. ;)

I defo think this course would cover just about everything your after.

theres a few good training courses out there, but they usually lean more towards a particular type of editing suite.

Filmbase do good courses but ive had some bad experience with their admin in the past. Screen Training Ireland also have a few courses.

imo, just buy a good editing book and learn from experience. the links above are more film editing though.

Emmm... where did you get 120 hours from Edge?

I know my maths are bad but surely 8 weeks times 3 hours = 24 hours training which works out to €20.33 / hour?
(plus €25 quid for the C+G cert at the end and €20 for a nice frame. :D )

The course does look good though, might apply for it myself :)
Has anyone done this course before and, if so, was it worthwhile?

Interesting. Although I have already covered about 60% of the core modules indepth. It would be nice to brush up on my adobe premier skills, but I'm getting by with what I know already. Worth every penny of the course costs if you ask me, some charge up to 10k for similiar courses.
