    one of my m8ts just got a 9800 ati card from e-bay apart from hes worried it might not be a real 9800 even tho its showing up as one . any way to chk it out

    there is no serial numbers that he can see . or stickers .

    On the nvidia gfx cards when you take the heatsink off the gpu, it will have the chip id on it, like da pic attached.
    Probably the same as ati cards.
