BSkyB, the U.K.'s biggest pay-TV operator, reported a 17% increase in revenue in the first quarter to 850 million pounds ($1.43 billion or 1.22 billion euros) . Operating profit almost doubled to 151 million pounds from 75 million pounds. Net profit was 90 million pounds after breaking even on a net profit level the previous year.

Average revenue per user rose 5.2% to 366 pounds. Interactive revenues rose 70% to 75 million pounds, slightly higher than expected. BSkyB is targeting ARPU of 400 pounds by 2005 and price rises planned for January should move the company toward that goal, but may impact churn - the number of subscribers that don't renew.

I dont think they will up the price of sky world package again. People on that are already paying over the targetted figure.

It's being upped to €61 if I remember correctly (we've had a thread about this recently)
