Just remembered your reciever needs to be in E1HH (Horizontal) or E1VH (Vertical) rather than the usual E1HL/E1HH mode for 8deg West (Lidl box terminology)

On other models these modes may be described as "High band" "Telecom band" or "22KHz switch on"

Oh and you need a UNIVERSAL LNB on your dish (most LNB's these days are but if yours is old/cheap it mightnt be)

No analogue channels on 8W according to lyngsat.com and kingofsat.net. And when i have my sat facing towards 8w, there isnt any beep from my satfinder(lidl device) for some reason, so my dish must not be big enough.

Why not use the signal meter on the sat receiver?? I always bring my portable TV outside connected to the rf on the sat receiver and get my signal that way!!! :):):)

The best thing to do is this.

    Do a total reset.

make sure moter is on 0
Set yor moter up for your area.

Run the cable direct from LNB to receiver (bypass the moter.)

Set your receiver for ONE Lnb one satellite

Put the following Freq in your receiver ,allign your dish to 8 west
    11.631
    H 4440
    3/4 euronews FTA

When you have a signal and picture for this tighten your dish and search.

When you are sure you have your reference satellite 8 west on line then you can rerun the cable via the moter and set it up then for diseqc moter etc.

Using skystar2 card with progdvb- you can only scan a satellite when you are getting a signal from it and then this gets all channels. so unfortunately i just cant enter the channel info and then hope to get a picture. But i'll keep on looking for it and hopefully i'll get it soon. tx anyways

was gonna use lidl box if there were any analogue channels
