Hi all. I have a sky digitial system but don't subscribe to them anymore because of problems with payments. Result being no channels being received. I have seen some adverts for free to air decoder/digi boxs, so i was wondering if i can connect one of these boxes to the existing sky dish and receive the free to air channels.

have a look at the how to get fta bbc channels thread all you need to do is remove the viewing card turn off everything (unplug box for about 2 minutes) then put the card back in upside down turn back on the box and you should have all the free to view channels including all the bbc channels

what's the deal with turning the card upside down ?
What does that do? Set a switch that a card is in ?
    Why does it work ?

i think the digibox needs a card in it to operate so when you stick it in upside down the box tries to read the card and when it cant it defaults back to the free to view epg not 100% sure how it works but it does work 101 is bbc london 102 bbc2 england and so on
