I was wondering if you have no money i your account and you ask for money from the ATM will it tell you you have none?

I don't know if I got paid so I went to the ATM and asked for €20, it then said the usual, would you like to make another transaction? I pressed no and it said please take your card but no money came out. Is this the norm?

Probably not the board for it....but yes that's normal....

Depending on what ATM you go to, if you've haven't enough money, it'll either say "You have insufficient funds to complete this transaction, would you like to try again?"
or
"Sorry, the transaction could not be completed, would you like to make another transaction?"

Print out a statement and make sure the 20€ wasn't deducted from your account. If you got no message I think you should of got the money.

if you don't care how much money you have in your account the €20 probably doesn't matter that much, why the retro board, did this happen in the 80s before you lost all your millions and so you need to follow up the loose end?

this happened me on baggot st . no money came out , checked statement and the had deducted it from my balance....
damn retro banking

OK, I rang them up and I have no money in my account so I'll have to sort it out in my job.

About this "All things Retro" forum, i thought it was to talk about anything, what is it for? Also, where should I post threads like this?

it could be a scam. I've heard of one where crooks put a box to collect money inside the machine just out of view. They collect it every few hours.
