No, no, no, NO, NO, NO, AND NO!
Taker has stated already that the dead man angle is not going to make a comeback. He said it on an interview the previous week.

And they had the Undertaker AS the Dead Man at Wrestlemania 14 back in 1998, and guess what?


It sucked! It's only saving grace was Kane tombstoning Pete Rose before the match.

This is what I'm talking about folks... we need to get rid of the brand split. Myself and mates always play Smackdown 5 with those two and wonder what it'd be like if it actually happened.

Granted we went 20 minutes in a last man standing match, i don't think it'd last that long on RAW or a PPV

RVD might be gone by the time Wrestlemania arrives as i think his contract expires beforehand, and he's got f**k all motivation to try for a renewal. And i don't think we'll ever see Sabu join WWE after they've misued the likes of Tommy Dreamer and RVD.

Edge could be back by wrestlemania, but can you see him and Christian together now? Don't expect Jeff Hardy back unless he really bucks himself up, and he'll never do that for as long as he's hanging around Justin Credible.

Why is everyone looking for recycled sh|te lately? They go mad when they do it on RAW, so why ask for it on a PPV?

Don't be so sure about the deadman 'taker not returning although 'taker has denied it, it seems he just following company instructions. All the rumours on the net are setting it up for a Deadman Vs Kane at WM.

Also I hate to disagree with you Nero but I like the Brand split. It's given many talents a chance to show what they can do if they join back up it'll mean that many Superstarts will be shown the door.
But I think one PPV should be a contest bwtween SD and RAW. World Champions VS WWE Champion, IC VS US, tag champs, and some cmatchs to pit the cruiser weights and women from each show against each other.

Well thats the general feeling backstage as well. It's for the best really because if No Mercy was anything to go by (same boring main event matches), it'll tank! Variety being the spice of life and all..

Better idea... Have the classic four PPV's be Brand Vs Brand with each one invading the other the entire month beforehand to create the angles for the matches.

I realise i'm in a minority about the brand split (and they have the balls to call it "extension"!), i just think they had a far better product before it, and splitting the PPVs have only appeared to make things worse in my honest opinion.

and did you not read foleys book he hates natch and the natural heat would make this a grate match and y2j dodnt blow it he just didnt go totaly with hhh and thats why hes midcard today

Well,just read that Austin will be competing at WM nxt yr,and his opponent will be............Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Well whaddaya know!!!!

If not though,his opponent would either be Jericho or Goldberg. But i'd say Vince would be best for him(this is my opinion),because these two always bring out the best in each other,and can keep a crowd lively(well,they could back in 99,we'll only have to wait and see if they still can)

They've got the following on paper atm

Kane Vs Undertaker (Deadman gimmick not confirmed)
Austin V McMahon
Foley V HHH
Goldberg V Brock Lesnar.

Man, did i wake up in 1998 and someone not tell me?!

There are also plans to make next years wrestlemania a whopping 5 hours long with the extra hour being used for a video package of the greatest hits of the last 20 wrestlemanias! The package thrown together for Wrestlemania 16 was good though, but i get the feeling it'll be recycled.

They also wanna bring back the Rock (which i said would likely to happen), but no opponent is listed. Also McMahon is toying with the idea of bringing in Hogan for it as well. Hogan is however, pencilled in for Feb for a PPV with NWA-TNA. Gee, I wonder what Hogan will choose?

And as for Rock,id put him against Jericho. They're best mates,and they should make a great match(will make up for the crap ones they had) I mean,if rocks still in-ring shape,then i think they could steal the show!

I thought the match they had at Vengeance 2001 was brilliant.
The PPV in general was pretty good marred by the fact that HHH was advertised to make his comeback from injury at it, but they cocked it up, HHH was nowhere near ready and people left the PPV pissed off, forgetting there were actually good matches on it.

Also they're planning for Ric Flair Vs Ricky Steamboat for Wrestlemania XX.
I think this is also a bad idea as
1) It's not 1989 anymore
2) Flair is in horrible shape and is too old and Steamboat will have been ten years retired by the time the event comes along.
