    a confession.

i use sleep as a means of total separation from the troubles of the world. i even leave college just to go home and sleep. just to get away.

    my question.

    how unhealthy is this?
and how many people do it obsessively.

I think its a lot better than using alcohol or crack. At least a lot cheaper.

reminds me of a character from one of the books i did for my leaving. Man how I hated that book

argghhhh, damn you for reminding me of that

PS The book is "Grass is signing" By Doris Lessing, my advice, steer clear if you can

i think sleeping in college happens to most people. especially in a hot lecture hall. what woul be crap is if you started dreaming and talking out loud. wonder how long it would take the rest of the class to wake you. or would they just let you natter away....

Falling asleep during a lecture is not that bad, it is worse if you have been on the sauce the night before, and you are snoring and farting your way throught the lecture. Somebody did that in a lecture I was attending once, never found out who it was though.

I wish I could fall asleep during the day more often ... I probably wouldn't be so wrecked all the time then!!

I think I've only fallen asleep during the day a few times ... The last time was @ lunch time & I fell asleep with my feet on the desk!!

The feckers in the office didn't wake me ... It was the boss who woke me @ 3.30pm [as 1.5 hours after lunch had officially ended]!!

I got such a fright, I nearly fell off the chair!! :D:o:D

If yer getting a good 8 hours' sleep every night and still feel sleepy during the day, you might have some medical condition. I'm not a doctor but it was the case with someone I know. I'm thinking you're not getting it.

    It is what it's.

I'm knackered at the moment and I'm in the library in college. I think I'll have a sleep right now!

Try to eat more greens and instead of sleeping away your fears try to Confront them .
In college if you have assignments and worry constantly you can always get help from your lecture's that is what there their for
Avoid the comfort of a warm bed.

I had a similar prob but you have to beat it.
Cause you'll waste away in bed

If I can Quote Sam Elliott - Wade Garett

Thats a mantra of mine. Dunno about you people, but I find that there simply aren't enough hours in the day and days in the week.

That sounds pretty miserable, smiaras. Have you been like this for long?
I need about 7-8 hours sleep per night, otherwise I get really cranky and get splitting headaches. For the first few weeks of college this year I regularily came home and hopped into bed for an hour or 2. It was the only way I could get any work done in the evenings.

i dunno how you guys can sleep for an hour or two during the day....

i cant do that at all. once i start to sleep, thats it. i wouldnt even wake if the house was on fire. im a deep sleeper which means i have trouble getting myself up in the morning. ive missed college quite a few times cos of this. i usually use 3 alarm clocks. still doesnt work. having said that im not really getting enough sleep anyways which would explain a lot......
