IE 5.2 Forgetting Preferences in OS X

    Hey all,

Someone in work is using IE5.2 on OS X (with a shiny new G5 machine) and they are having a problem where IE 5 forget's all their preferences. She fills in all the Auto Complete information for example, and sometime later she notices that all the info is gone, and the browser is not filling in forms for her.

Another example is with the navigation buttons at the top. She has set it to use the icons only, but a few minutes later (possibly when opening a new window) the setting has swapped back to Icon and text.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and / or how it can be prevented? Any help would be much appreciated :)

5.2 is a year old and is not optimised for newer Macs Plus Microsoft have stopped updating it for the Mac.

Download Safari- it's the browser of choice in OSX- and it's faster.

    Thanks for the reply.

We'll give Safari a try and see how we get on.
