What games do you play online?

This is relating to my other thread.

Since we are going to be hosting gaming servers for you, I wanna know what games you play. Although a gamer myself and I like to think that I know what we are into, I just wanna check.

The games in the poll seem to be the most popular and the top 3 to 6 (depending on how many of each game we run with) will be hosted as our first public servers when we go live.

If the poll misses a few games just say so guys. They will be all considerd. This is for you as well as us.

Cant belive i did not think of Halo. Is that a popular multiplayer?? if it is I'll put one up (if I can, dunno about servers. you all know what MS is like).

Absolutely Love vietcong multiplayer, dont know if many of you play it, but if you have the game and haven't tried it online, you should give it a go. Also played some H&D online as per previous thread and think it has real potential...

Planet side server? how would that work? can one host a server of that game?

Desert Combat would be good, Id love a TFC server but I doubt you'd get much of a crowd on it.

If you were charging entry to these servers then well this post wouldn't be here. Seeing as your essentially announcing a public service of use to the unwashed masses that throng to this board, then it's fine by me.

Edit: I just saw Dev's post on that other thread. Fair enough, I was going to merge the two threads but this one will do.

I voted for AA purely because there are not enough European servers and I think people would play it more if there were! I found it hard deciding between DOD and TS and AA. I think DoD or TS should be high on your list too. I don't think you should make a CS server because god knows there are enough of them already! The same can be said for Bf1942. That's my 2 cent.

Ry. I totaly agree with you about AA. Also high on my list are DoD and TS. (And i would not have scrolled past, I have and will read every post. What you guys have to say is important to me.)

DapperGent, if that’s all u ever got into... I'll make u one asap. DoD is high on my list.


The thing is that I have some embarrassing and bad news. We have had some serious hiccups and I believe that I will not be able to go live until after Xmas. More on that when I know more.
Good thing is, I suppose, that it will give me more time to get everything ready for a proper launch.

Guys, if anyone can help with programming stats systems for games that, either, don’t have any or they are not very good. And or if you want (and think that it would be successful) to get a game server that I have not mentioned and there are only a handful out there please help me out. If you cant get in touch with me and you know Jaggeh, well he is my right hand man so he will pass the msg on. Good ideas are always welcome.

I also hope to have reviews and so on, on the site. We will also need mods and more for the servers (although experience has taught me to be careful in choosing who admin’s servers).

Well I adore The Specialists. It's a great game because to be good at it you have to be creative. It's the players who take risks and try to be flamboyant that get the best scores.

Other than that I still play alot of Total Annihilation. It's another game I enjoy because of its flexability. It doesn't limit your options like C&C or WC.

Thats also why I like The Specialist so much. Also its just so much fun!! Just caotic, mayhem and fast.

Also, TA rocks! 1st 3rd stratagy game also one of the 1st with 3D terain

This sorta reminds me of the time Radox had that bent map rotation on their server because of some poxy vote they had on their forum. Just because someone takes the 30 seconds or so to write out a post saying they'd like to see a server for <insert random game> doesn't mean there's a large enough community out there to support it. Honestly the only two games I see you getting any traffic on are CounterStrike and BF1942 and even then its doubtful, the current crop of Irish CS servers see hardly any traffic these days.

this is preemptive as i don't play online at the moment. used to play RA2 online quite a bit a few years back. but getting broadband soon and have received FF XI which is play online only. will be spending lots of time with that and plan on playing generals and bf online also

cs mostly but my ping is unbearably unplayable, very spiky, so i just end up playing on lan, little bit of q3 online aswell
