NEWBIE: C4 5 ITV and NI regions on a P2FTV card

    OK I have a Panasonic digibox and P2 (dark blue card) but Channels 103 104 and 105 are still coming up as "channel unavailable on the EPG" while 101 and 102 give me the London versions of BBC even though the card is registered in Northern Ireland

    I can access UTV Channels 4 & 5 in "other channels" but sometimes the "other channels" list mysteriously disappears and I have to unplug and reboot the box to get them back and sometimes some channels (mostly above 800) mysteriously disappear of the EPG and again the box has to be rebooted to get them back

    Ive tried a forced download but it hasnt made any difference

    I was told that If I leave the dish pointed at 28E overnight (I use if for Hotbird 13E as well) 103-105 would appear on the EPG after a few hours but regardless of whether I do this with the box on standby or left on it makes no difference

    There is a know bug with the other channels feature. If you have too many channels stored there, they can disappear and you must put them in again. Sky say that you can add 50 channels there, but most people have seen that anything over 20 is dodgy.

    Has the card been activated (not necessarily in your digibox)?

    Also, have you tried a "New Install" from the Installer menu (Press Service - 4 - 0 - 1 - Select)?

    Yeah I activated the card myself (plugged box into phoneline) and went through the new istall process

    If you did this from Irelnad then it will not have worked as the activation requires a call back to sky. It may have to be activated manually, by ringing. I'm not sure of the number.

    I was told you cant register a P2 card anymore by (voice) phone (The Beeb no longer fund the call centre) but you could still do it by pluging the box into the phoneline and initiallising via the installers menu

    I live in Northern Ireland and pay my telly licence so its not like Im trying to pull a fast one (at least not yet :D )

    It should be ok if it was activated. Did UTV ever appear at 103 (EPG placing, not time :D)? If so you should be able to get it back though it may take a few "New Installs", if not, at least you have it through other channels. :(

    Now ive never had UTV etc (except through other channels)

    Ill try the "New Install" again maybe it didnt work last time ?

    If UTV never appeared on 103 then I would guess that the card was not activated. I think you are doing well to have them in other channels!
