Have you heard Iron Maiden's new CD? After being a fan of theirs since 'Powerslave', and after reading the new CD's brilliant review in Kerrang, I had to have it.
It's the biggest disappointment ever!! Their title songs are usually classics, eg Powerslave, Brave New World, Number of the Beast, Fear of the Dark etc, but the track Dance of Death is a poor excuse for music. But Brucey still wears kool pants.

It was ok, grew on me after a while. Rainmaker, Paschendale, Age of Innocence and Montsegur were good, the rest was pretty much filler. Still looking forward to the gig though.

Pfft Dance Of Death was a great track! For some reason everytime I listen to it I get flashbacks to the scene in "This is Spinal Tap" then they are dancing around the miniture model of Stonehenge.....

i think its a deadly album, the only song I dont really like is journeyman, the only one thats sub-par really.

Yea the album definitely grows on you. I wasnt blown away at first, but the more i listen to it the more i dig it...and if i get "earworms" in work - that's always a good sign.

Yes the gig is sold out - that's why you couldnt book on Ticketmaster. Tried a couple of numbers on buy and sell, most gone already. I wont bother calling ads like "cost 45. sell 100." what the **** is that about? who do they think they are? i'll support maiden, not some scumbag...

I think Dance of Death has some brilliant tracks, although it's not a brilliant album, because some of it sounds like filler. Monsegur and Rainmaker are excellent, and Gates of Tomorrow, No More Lies and Dance of Death are not far behind.

I can't wait for the concert....

KoolSexyBitch, just keep listening to it. It's very much a grower. I quite like all the songs on there, particularly Paschendale, Montségur, and No More Lies. Perhaps the rest is filler, but I think it's damn good filler, personally! :)

And Journeyman is fantastic, I'll hear nothing more about it. It hearks back to the likes of Prodigal Son, Remember Tomorrow, and Strange World. There may not be any power chords, or even electric guitars, but I find myself humming along to it more than most other tunes...

I think it's a deadly album, one of the few I can listen to in full without feeling bored at parts.

I think the title track is a true classic, really gets me into the whole scene. Paschendale and Montségur are classics aswell, imo. Age Of Innocence sparked a bit of contoversy with the lyrics, but I think that's great too.

I'd say Wildest Dreams is the worst song on the album, it's different from all the others and sounds a bit strange on the album. But even that is still a brilliant song.
