Splitting NTL feed to 2nd TV

    Folks,
    I have recently moved house and got NTL Digital installed.
    I wanted to split my analogue feed into the kitchen as I had in my
    previous house. I used the same 15m Coax cable and standard 'Y' splitter but my analogue picture on both TV's was severly affected, the digital picture also started freezing up. I tried a couple of reboots with no joy.
    I disconnected splitter but the problem persisted on the original TV until late last night. I retried the split to confirm it was not a one of issue and the problem reoccured.
    This was not a problem before - Is this to be expected
    when you have a digital box is in the loop ?. Is there anything I can do ?

    Check the coax plugs. Sounds like gamy connection/intermittant short

    Also loose the Y splitter (theyre junk) and get a metal one

    When I upgraded to NTL digital my analog has gotten worse and worse, now if it left on for 10 minutes the picture becomes unwatchable, and the teletext scrambled.

    I haven't had any problems here with splitting my connection.

    As Mike says, definitely get rid of them useless Y splitters, a proper splitter can make a big difference.

    You should have a split already - two cables, one for the analogue tv signal and one that feeds the digital box. Try placing your splitter on the cable that feeds the analogue signal.
