SNK vs CAPCOM plus dumped

Well, this version (whatever plus adds i'm none to sure) is dumped and somewhat available for those with newsgroups access or the will to put "svcplus" into google

40 megs or so, runs under hacked kawaks or nebula with the dat file.
Very hard to say whether its great or not, i think its better than capcoms effort anyway. Altho i get the impression the music isn't dumped correctly as its either that or the music is dire. Characters are drawn well, gameplay runs nicely fast in a very old school SF way of just one on one fighting with no messing about.

I'd say its worth a look definetly, as its the most promising game playmore have managed yet.

The flashing PLUS at the start is quite annoyinng.

Great ROM, great game.

Some parts do seem dodgy (especially the pre match banter!)

And there a some minor gfx flaws.

Sound is grand, don't know what people are on about, has classic Q-sound-a-like
vibe to it.

Oh and my joyapd works in Kawaks.

Too bad kawaks wont pick up the ROM under Win2k, only 98!

The plus and whatnot can be taken off, just download the cheat dat for the game and its one of the options.

As for the game itself, its a prototype rip. A large chunk of the moves don't work or are bugged to death. The sound i'm told is atrocious in the arcade as well, its hardly q-sound alike at all, its woeful garbled, monotone cr4p. Add to that, sound bites are missing all over the place.

I played it a little more, whether its the prototype-ness of it all or not i don't know, but all the physics of the game are jumbled, certain moves have preference and then don't for no reason. Other moves can dodge projectiles one second and not the next.
Overall, its the best thing playmore will probably ever achieve before they die in the very near future, but its not exactly as great as i thought it might be (3 years ago when they announced it)

Oh and make sure Console mode is on, and that you have sound set to 48khz, because 11khz sounds rubbish!

Also there is a cheat dat that will remove the Plus, just place it in you cheats dir, and press alt+c during the game, you can also select the bosses.

Search for svcplus.dat

Its from Playmore. Just spent last 15 mins playing and I still dont know what to make of it...Its OK but not great by any means.:mad:

Its bears a HUGE resemblence to a mugen game that was thrown together about six months ago using capcom and snk sprites and in fairness, this is all playmore have been doing. They just take already drawn sprites, don't even bother to try and make them blend to a background and fire them into more and more uninspiring games.
I used to own a neo geo and i'm actually happy i sold it when i did as they're taking the piss at this stage. If ever a company needed to be pirated out of business thru emulation to save what was a fairly decent brand name, then playmore is definetly that company.

It's too similar to king of fighters..the physics/feel/whatever is too neo-geo. I'd prefer oldskool capcom style. Only 4 buttons to attack? MADNESS I SAY!

I'm no fan of the SNK vs Capcom series. This only adds to the hate. About its only redeeming feature are the japanese voices trying to speak engrish and the cheesy dialogue beetween fights.

still downloading it, personally i love street fighter, the screens look nice.
its out for ps2 in japan on 15th Dec. Player selection is good, it looks tight, but i think this rom will wreck it for me, none the less :-
