    did anyone else see this episode of queer as folk...

    i'm not a regular watcher but a few weeks back i caught this episode on E4 in which a man (the irish guy with black hair) had sex with a 14 year old boy. now obviously non of the 'money shots' were shown, thank god.

    of course there is plenty of straight action on tv and i dont mind eqivalent gay scenes but i think this is the first time i've seen peadophilia glorified in this way. the man is the central character of the series i believe and not only did he screw a kid but apparently the kid is now a regular ****buddy of his on the show. the guy suffered no repucussions for his actions and the series is continuing as normal.

    i'm as liberal as the next person but i think this is ****ing outragous. and yes if it had been a guy ****ing a 14 year old girl right there in front of my eyes, i would have been equally sickened.

    the episode was aired after the watershed but even still, i thought it was a bit much

    maybe this belongs in lgb, if so i'm sorry.

    Nathan lied about his age which means Stuart didn't realise the age of the guy he was screwing. Nathan then wants to pursue Stuart but Stuart doesn't really want him.

    Yeah sure 15 years old is young, but he's more sexually mature than others of his age. In reality there are many 15 year olds who have a proclivity for care-free sex. The show just reflects that.

    As to the age disparity, like I said Stuart was unaware of this and, regardless, he may, as may others, have seen Nathan as more mature (not to mention good looking) than he was due to his confident nature.
