Anyone got info on how this works in ireland?
What are the legal grounds for getting one?
Are both "alleged" parents consent req?

    I've posted some details here.

What are the legal grounds for getting one?

What do you mean? You'll need to be more specific.

Legally speaking, I don't know. You should talk to a solicitor about it, but talk to the agencies mentioned in the thread above first, they'll probably be able to give you a relatively reliable answer. Technically "it is possible to perform a paternity test without the mother, however the results will be less conclusive than if the mother is included". (From here.)
