Story on Silicon Republic Here , lots of good stuff on Silicon Republic at the moment may I add.

Mary is of course referring to the failure of the "Plan" announced by Mary O'Rourke in 2002 to have 5Mbit available to every Irish Home by 2005. There never was a plan not that O'Rourke will ever admit that . There were other elements to that plan, most beginning with e-. Mary has therefore decided to drop an e- , in fact she will drop every e- she can find and thats official y'all!

"We are not talking about ‘e’ before government any longer, we are basically talking about modernisation and innovation of how the citizen and government interacts."

    ......wittered Mary.

Mary will now busy herself with a 64k target by 2007 no doubt.

    M
