You know dem things for SKY didiboxes that allow you to use the remote in another room.

The second one has died - any one been able to repair them ?
or what causes them to die - as there is no point in buying one every few months..

(cable run is fairly long - back of house to front via attic.)

Should the cable be earthed or not ?
seeing as how the digiboxes are NOT earthed...

Why not mail these people tv-info@globalcom.co.uk or look at their site http://www.tvlink.co.uk/tvlink.htm :):p:)

From my own experiance and hearsay they seem to die young
And I'd have to buy another two so as to have one spare.

Seeing as how it's probably a design flaw in the TVlink or a problem with the TV or digibox , replacing it will not be a permenant solution..

So far all I can think of is putting a splitter on the output of the TVlink to isolate it from the TV...

I have a TV Link a few months and its still working grand. Are you able to get a picture on the TV but aren't able to change the channel? This happens to me all the time, you just have to keep messsing aroung with the cable at the back of the TV.
