can anyone help me read the following strumming pattern? The curvy line at the bottom has me confused.

Do I play down, down, up, down, up or does it represent a tie and then I play down, up, down, up.

    many thanks

    if your counting 1 + 2 + 3 + it would go:

    d u d u
    1 + 2 + 3 +

    (d= down and u = up obviously)

    hope that makes sense

sorry that didnt post correctly for some reason
it was meant to look like this:

    d u d u
    1 + 2 + 3 +

in case this didnt work either its down on the one, up on the + after the 2, down on the 3, and up on the + after the 3
