Out of that lot, I would have to go for Bargain Hunt, I've always liked that show. Other than that, I used to watch Neighbours a few years ago, but I don't get around to watchin' it now.

    BTW wheres Countdown ????

Has anybody been watching Baby Bob on Network 2? The baby can talk and he's absolutely priceless. It's on at 5.10 on Wednesdays!
Life with Bonnie is watchable aswell, Tuesdays at 5.10.

has to be Bargain Hunt. Countdown is a close second

What about Kilroy? Is that still on?

I used to love his arrogance and the way he would constantly take the piss out of his (mostly) prudish and/or inarticulate audience, not to mention the way he would forcibly shove into anyone who was sitting in a seat that he wanted to take.

Despite that congenial surface of his you could just feel the pure contempt inside him towards the audience - and looking at an average audience of his you couldn't really blame him either.

    Murder She Wrote!

You cant talk about daytime tv and not mention Jessica and her murder mystery novels. I vote for Murder She Wrote, and to a lesser note Diagnosis Murder which was also good.

BTW, here's the Bargain hunt website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/antiques/bargainhunt/

    smiaras,

Can I take it that Jesse Jones is supposed to be Jenny Jones.

I was looking at the poll yesterday & I knew Jesse Jones didn't look quite right, I couldn't quite put my finger on it then though. :D

Working Lunch is the king of day time TV for me. It's informative yet presented in a light manner, it's full of great ideas for young people interested in business yet is never really boring mainly due to the great presenters. It's on BBC2 at either 12 or 1 and it's well worth watching.

Colombo had a brief revival last year and was a bloody joy, never missed a show. Ready Steady Cook is also good to watch, while cooking up a dinner of pasta beans and sausages. God its great being a student!

Reminds me, I noticed in the paper that Sky are showing XFiles during the day too. Are these eps uncut? Might start taping them for later if they aren't (I've missed most of season 5-9).

You didn't miss much. Although I did enjoy Season 8.

Much to my chagrin though, the episodes are heavily cut. If you think Sky can do a heavy slice and dice job to an hour of TV at 8pm, then just imagine what they're like at 10am.
Watching an episode of Angel the other morning, "Redefinition" maybe?, I noticed that an entire murder had been removed. If you were watching it for the first time you would not know that a character had just died.
Also, one of my favourite X-Files episodes wasn't shown. they skipped "War of Coprophages" when they were showing Season 3 about a month ago. Which is just a shame because I love that ep. Darin Morgan was just a great writer. And Dr. Bambi Berenbaum is ****ing gorgeous.

I think that's far too much knowledge for me to have about peripheral X-Files characters. It been ten years on and all.... Forget I said anything.... :)

I often watch Bargain Hunt, Countdown and dip into Neighbours from time to time. But I'd say Neighbours is the best plus it has the best looking women.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,621 ✭✭✭Panda

I think its time you added countdown,
"mmm put your clothes back on carol, i cant concentrate...."

also murder she wrote is worth a mention, despite we all know shes a murdering b!tch...

Countdown all the way, Back in my days as a lazy college bum, and later a lazy college dropout, right through my months a lazy drunk dole monkey.
Countdown was always there for me.

It's got to be Neighbours lads. It's quality. Beats all those annoying teens in Home and Away hands down.

And Smiaras, you said you left out Oprah and Dr Phil cos they required attention. Surely your chart topper Countdown demands more attention than them!!! There's no point watching if you're not going to play along at home!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,199 ✭✭✭krattapopov

sg1 does be repeated on sky one in the mornings, so does the x-files, at least i think they are! also the show called 'ed' is being repeated on channel 4 too, very good show

for lunchtime it has to be neighbours,

bargain hunter is there, fifteen to one, countdown, even ready steady cook, get those taste buds firing, then after dinner its hollyoaks time!!!!
