did u check his ebay rating before u bid for the item? i never buy anything from anyone with under 100 items sold, and also make sure they have over 95% positive feedback.

u can report him through ebay if u feel that he is tryin to rip u off.

    Good luck

    Rob

There is a postal strike in the Uk at the moment (or is it only in certain areas? is it finished?) .... my wifes books from amazon.co.uk took 2 and a bit weeks to get here (just arrived today)....

I bought an item a couple of years back and it took 40 odd days (IIRC) to get from canada to here via airmail (postmark on package to date it arrived) ..

It has finished (as of yesterday) but there is quite a backlog of items in the affected sorting offices, so that might explain it.

I bought something on ebay last week, was sent by normal snail mail from england on Friday and arrived yesterday so I doubt the delay would be because of that.
you should check his rating, if it's high then maybe theres a problem or somethign, if it's low, he's probably trying to rip you off.
you should email him a couple of times and/or send messages through ebay, if he doesn't respond then you should report him

Send him an email advising you'll be leaving negative feedback unless he resolves this asap. If you hear nothing in a day or so (depends on how much they check their mail!) then report them using the procedure listed in the help menu, and leave them some bad feedback...

same thing happended to me, but it is likely to just be mail delays if he has a good rating.

the mail problems in the UK are still causing problems in some areas even though the strike is over because of the backlog.

something that came in a couple of days from one place could still be backlogged for 2 or 3 weeks from somewhere else.

my problem is, although the user in question has a high rating in the mid 500's that he is crap at emailing me.

rating of over 95% but the 5#% who have given him negative feedback all said he was sh!te at communications when theings went wrong.

it was a £50 item, so I'm not happy, but not too upset either (least it wasn't £500 odd) about it and will just sit it out for another week and see if it turns up.

have emailed him numerous times, but not had anythig back (it took him 5 days to reply to my 3 emails about shipping costs to Dublin), so I'm just gonna wait it ot a bit before i take things further.

funny thing is, I'm supposed to be starting work for eBay when they move in to Blanchardstown, so I could really fvck him over a little way down the line, but if I mention that to him now to put the frighteners on, chances are he'll go to them and cost me the job before I've got it!
