    Hi there!
    Just wondering on any info re:sky digital!
    Currys are offering basci sky package 100E install and 25Eapprox p.m. also top package (for a limited time)15e install but 60e p.m.
    They are telling me that a phone is required?!?!is this true?
    An independent contractor will do it for 150E without a phone line and 50e with and have to sign up for the top package(sports & movies) for a month.
    Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

    as far as Im aware the contract doe indeed require that a phone line be conneted to the box for the first year anyway yes.

    current offer is €15 install + free box + free dish
    u must subscribe to a sky world package (ie €60 pm) and connect the box to an operation fone line for 12 months

    but... you can lower your subscription after first month has elapsed. I'm not sure on the situation regarding the enforcement of fone connection by sky, maybe someone else can help you there

    You have to have it connected to a phoneline for the first 12 months. If an installer says he'll do it without a line for more money what he's really saying is, gimme a few extra quid and I'll turn a blind eye to the fact you have no line connected and will use a dummy number when registering with Sky.
