RIAA = Recording Industry Association of America

If they do take any action they will have to go to your isp then I think you can deny all knowledge of it. (could be wrong.)
    But it's outside their durastiction.(spelling?)

Indeed ... as far as I know they have absolutely no way of bringing you to court in Ireland (yet) ... what they do is send a nasty letter to your ISP, who, not wanting any hassle will throttle or warn or kick you off their service. The RIAA has no power outside of USA, they just think they have.

afaik at the moment BigEejit is dead right, they have no ability yet to sue anyone in Ireland, yet(no power in our courts),

3,000 p2p users were arrested in Italy by their tax cops in May.
In Britian they passed a law in October that makes P2P trading essentially Illegal and that means they can prosecute.
The RIAA did sue 100 users in holland for €15,000 each, that was because the Dutch couth deemed it Legal to do so(they are mad about the Americans over there)
Also the people they targeted/sued probably have serious bb connections, getting thousands of files continuously.
Having said that though, this means that they have got their foot in the door as far as Europe is concerned, and we are moving toward the single state.

In America the Riaa can legally monitor what is going on with Kazaa servers through custom built trojans, so they could in effect know everything........
Upgrade your Kazaa to the latest version, Has a thing(IP Blocker) that is supposed to make it more difficult for them to track you.
