I'm sure when they make a film of your landmark case, Keanu Reeves will be the brilliant rookie lawyer who takes on the system with a groundbreaking class action suit, Julia Roberts will be his sassy, no-nonsense girlfriend who pushes him on when the suits get at him for stirring up a hornets-nest, and Samuel L. Jackson will be cast as the judge who eggs on Reeves and ultimately hands down the ruling against boards.ie, and a corresponding ruling against third level institutions berating them for forcing exams upon those who are learning a greater wisdom by interacting with others through a public forum....

    Vincent Price. All round.

It will be his greatest role.

You can... you just dont anything but a big legal bill and about 6000 angry nerds[1].

Now nerds arent exactly scary even in numbers like 6000 but you had better never EVER go online again. :)

    DeV.
    [1]ps: I consider myself a nerd.
pps: I would, of course, play myself and direct the film... pffff!

If anyone was stupid enough to try. Then all Board.ie Limited, have to do is file for voluntary liquidation. Leaving the idiot with nothing and/ or no one to sue!.

    Stupid damn thread, anyway.

    P.:ninja:

there was a case of an employee sucessfully suing his ex-employer for firing him over his addiction to Solitaire. The company had after all installed Solitaire on his computer....

Oddly enough I recognised my own userid number before clicking on the link ;) Well at least I'm also in the first 10% of boards.....

And Stephen Fry would play The Corinthian.

Bloody hell Victor's got the most posts on boards, he's even sadder than WWM. Hey Vic is your birthday really April 1st?

I would be played by Brad Pitt naturally.

I wouldn't be in it, but I'd probably wait until it was out on video and then rent it. Of course, I'd pretend to the person behind the counter that it wasn't for me, even though they wouldn't care anyway.

PS - I think Sangre is just having an off day. Normally I think he's hilarious, and I have an incredibly well developed ability to tell when things are funny, so obviously that's a huge compliment.

You know i tried something similar to this in college, having never used the internet before (and me being the poor sweet innocent country bumpkin in the big city for the first time) found out about IRC!!

i failed 1st year in college cos i was chatting so damn much on IRC and then heading out to the pub with my mates afterwards,

i tried arguing the point that i had an internet addiction but it (obviously) didnt work,

so i doubt that you'd get away with sueing either (but it would be an interesting read in the sunday papers)

How, and in what way, do you feel addicted?

Do you feel like you can't live without boards.ie, like you can't live without air?

Like is boads.ie the only site you visit on the Net, and if so, I personally would consider that an addiction..
