What the hell is with these stupid chain e-mails these days.
Why oh why do people keep forwarding them on.
The most recent and by far the most stupid one I got is one claming its from microsoft and that you have to forward it on to 20 people or your account will be closed.

I can abide spam because it is obvious when something is a blatent spam e-mail and i do not open it but when you see a friends name and you open a stupid pile of pleb crap it pisses me off.

Anyone else feel this way, are any of ye closet chain forwarders?

Good post - the sooner everyone knows the better.
You should ask all the people you email it to forward it to all of their friends..

Just remind the sender that they
a/ have failed the gullability test
b/ should flame the person who sent them the email
c/ should apologise to all the people the sent the email to
d/ that you need €500 by next thursday for your liver operation

    you should change your friends...
operate a three strikes system. after someone sends you 2 chain mails they get a stern written warning/letter bomb and after that you have no choice but to kill them with a sword...

    ..it really is your duty

You know what capt I sent on an e-mail to everyone that sent me the stupid mail telling them how gullable they were and to stop forwarding things, I also told them to passit along to others. Three of them e-mailed it back to me along with a list of a pile of others they sent it to. My god what the hell is wrong with people?

They're the reason why those stupid messages from the 90s are still heading round. If I get one more of those stupid 'Bill Gate's is gonna give a hundred dollars if you forward this on' messages, I'll go round and clout whoever sent me it round the ear*.

Well, the ones in Ireland anyway.

The sad thing is that the easiest way to tell people about the rubish they are trafficing is by chainmail. The only problem is by doing so you are adding to the problem.

It's the start of a new college year.

There are therefore lots and lots of first year morons who for some reason have never seen emails that were old four years ago. I mean, I saw someone forwarding "The **** List" the other day. That thing's ancient, as well as being rubbish.

It'll quieten down in a few months when the majority get sick of opening emails that are almost entirely composed of the addresses it was already forwarded to.
