can anyone recommend a program to edit mp3's (as in take out blank space at the end of a file) or splice files together.

For really basic editing I think Nero WaveEditor should do the trick?!

Gold Wave is as good all round audio editor which does mp3s nicely...

nero wave thingy is good for basic stuff. splicing, normalising, etc.
got it with my burner.
