How old must a vehicle be to qualify for classic insurance? Does anyone know how much the rates drop etc?

    Varies from company to company.
I believe 'Carol Nash Insurance' will insure most Ford's over 15 years old under a classic policy (mileage limit: 2000 pa).

Some brokers will only quote for cars over 20 yrs old.

(BTW, Vintage/Veteran/Classic road tax - €40 per year - only applies to vehicles over 30 yrs old).

    Hope this helps,
    Silvera.

Thought a car had to be 25 years or older to be considered a classic in this country? 30 years is the UK.
