I know its for broadband play - but is it possible to fool it, so you can link PS2s together in the same room ?

indeed the ilink does this - and many a 6 player GT3 I've played. But no other games seem to support this form of network play. So i wondered did the network adapter allow for it ? or is it purely only for "broadband" which I don't have.

yes u can link 2 ps2s together! and u don't have 2 fool it all cause that's what it's also intended for. i haven't personally used it but you could prob do it by using a crossover cable. you could find alot more info on how to do at www.playstation.co.uk and goto the network section for offical guides on connecting it up or goto the forums there.

have u got a PS2 Network Adapter? cause i heard it was for sale in HMV and Symths and would like 2 know much it is in shops here and where else u can get it

cheers for the link. had a look through it, alot , and i mean alot is about connecting to the interweb for multiplayer. But i did find a diagram, showing a PS2 LAN, this I think will be of interest to alot of PS2 owners in Ireland, who aren't blessed with Broadband, but want to play multiplayer games like Socom and the new GT when it comes out.

as for the network adapter - saw it two weeks ago for sale...in Gran Canaria :(
