    from http://www.nasstar.com/broadband/faq.asp
    ISDN
Slower than both leased lines and ADSL, ISDN is limited to a maximum download speed of 128kbps. Charged as a connection fee and usage fee. When your ISDN line connects at 128kbps, both ISDN channels are being used and you are paying for 2 ISDN calls. If you want greater speed and want to be always connected to the Internet for instant access to web sites and email then ADSL or a leased line solution are better solutions.

    Leased lines
Leased lines, like ADSL, are always on connections to the Internet. Leased lines offer guaranteed bandwidth (both upload and download) where as ADSL connection speeds are subject to a 'contention ratio' - essentially several users (up to 20) are sharing the connection. Leased lines, because of the guarantee of bandwidth, are more expensive than ADSL connections. However, for a business with up to 20 users which wants instant access to the web and email for a relatively low cost flat monthly fee, ADSL provides the ideal solution between the higher cost of a leased line and the limited bandwidth of ISDN.
