One of the things most charities look for is people to collect money in fundraising campaigns, some involve selling tickets for a raffle and some collecting on the street. There are lots of worthy causes out there that deserve money but it still takes away from the cause when it comes down to money. One would think if the cause is worthy enough that it wouldn't need to look for money, people and government would automatically give it... in an ideal world I guess. :(

Anyone who has collected on the street will know the dilema between feeling guilty for asking for money and the righteous feeling inside that you know the cause is right. seeing your friends walk past and feeling a little cheeky and a little guil;ty about using your friendship to grind a few bob off them. :) It seems unfair to expect people to give something to charity evey time they walk through the city centre, but that seems to be the way it goes.

    What do you think...

...about being the one to walk on by a collector, feeling obliged to stop and give, wanting to stop and give or being the collector asking for that money?
