Elsewhere on this page somebody says that TVE have started test broadcasting on the sky digibox. This channel has the free-to-air champions league rights in Spain. Just wonderin if theyll be showing a match or two? Uefa.com says:
"UEFA today announced that the exclusive free-to-air television rights in Spain for the UEFA Champions League from 2003 until 2006 have been awarded to TVE.

TVE is the top free-to-air channel in Spain and has been an integral partner of the Champions League since its launch eleven seasons ago. TVE will have the first choice of Wednesday games. On Tuesdays they will broadcast the second-choice match simultaneously with Sogecable, who were recently awarded the exclusive Pay-TV rights for the same period.

UEFA Chief Executive Gerhard Aigner welcomed the deal, which draws to a close the sales process in Spain. 'TVE has been a partner for the UEFA Champions League since its inception and we have had a very good relationship with them throughout the history of the competition," he said. "This agreement, coupled with the Sogecable deal, is a great result for everyone involved, not least for the Spanish football fan, and reflects the true value and attractiveness of the UEFA Champions League'."

    No it is TVE *INTERNATIONAL*

that is already free to air for years on lots of Satellites and will be part of Sky's overpriced inflexible Pay TV package, not FTA on 28.2E

It is like difference between BBC1 and BBC World TV.

TVE is not FTA except on a TV aerial, mostly in Spain

don't they show la Liga highlights or am i wrong

Yes they used to (Estudio Estadio) up to this year and even did for the first couple of weeks of the season but rights issues have stopped this. This was also the reason why TeleMadrid Sat on Astra 19 stopped showing the La Liga Saturday night game FTA.

For satellite channel football, checkout satfootball.com - it gives a listing of all european footy viewable on the various satellite channels.
Theres very little available when pointing at 28.8 however (apart from sky of course)...
