Ipaq and soft resets

Hi I a 3600 series ipaq and every time that I soft reset it it completely wipes my ipaq as if I had performed a hard reset - very annoying! Any one here have any ideas as to what could be wrong? I have replaced the battery just today and the problem is still present grrrrrrrrrr! Dizz

off topic but i got a cradle , power supple and serial cable for a 3600 that u can have for nowt if u want
