    Ok, here's the deal. I'm a bass player toying with putting my toe back in the water. Been in a few bands, have decent gear (Ricky 4001, but no amp... I sold it years ago).

    Bass heroes would be John Paul Jones/Entwhistle. Got kicked out of my last band for wanting to do more than play the root note of the guitarist's chord....

    Anyhoo, if anyone out there has an interesting band on the go, and isn't in to rehearshing all the bloody time, and doesn't object to a 31-year-old bass player, and actually plays gigs then reply to this thread. IF not, retirement looms!

    Do you have any mp3s I can listen to? What kind of stuff do you play? And where? and how regularly? :)

    Also, just noticed, one too many s-es in bassist. Oops.

    ...we tend to rehearse at SOUND LEASE just off the walkinstown roundabout, Johnny was to get mp3's done,,,,but am not sure if he managed to do it yet, our stuff, is power rock with some twists and turns, thats really the only way i can describe it,,elements of Zep, Rush, Audioslave, and many others,
    ,but really we've tried NOT to sound like anyone else, and many of our songs are very different to each other, I genuinely think it's good music and we want each individual to shine as much as possible, there's no dampener on my drumming, or the guitar or on a basist, if we can slip in moments of good bass/guitar/drums, then we'll do the song around that.
