I recorded a 19 minute voice memo today and maxed out the memory on my P800. There doesn't seem to be any way of using the 128Mb stick to do this, nor is there a way to transfer the file over to my pc or the memory stick. The only way I could see was a 'send as' option in voice memo but it doesn't work, presumably as there is very little internal memory left in the phone.
It would be very primitive to have to record from the phone to get it on my pc (if I had a recording prog to do it with) so I am wondering if I can just transfer it somehow.
I did try to explore on the phone, but there are no files visible. Presumably it is 'protected' or something.
    VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!
I need to transfer this file pronto.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, iwb.

not anywhere near my desk for few days so can't experiment myself but isn't there a 3rd party file manager app for the p800? That might give you a few options...

Although that assumes you'll have the space to install it on the phone. Hmm... as much as i can do without trying it myself-sorry :-)

I had a 3rd party file manager for my P800 - but it (the phone) got nicked so i forget what it (the file manager) was called.

However, the guys to ask are over at the boards at Esato

    Tribble and bats,
Thanks very much for the help. I found a third party file manager and it did the trick. It hadn't occured to me that another file manager would've found more files.
I really appreciate this resource as you guys are great and quick to help.
    Thanks again, iwb.

BTW, anyone know if I can direct the voice memo prog. to use the memory stick for memory? I can't find that anywhere on the P800. Maybe I should be upgrading the firmware, if I knew where to get that done:confused:

Last time I checked with fonefix they didn't handle P800s.

There is one in Sandyford which fixed a T68i for me before but I can't remember the name or phone number. If they do it, it would be great as it is much nearer for me.
    Thanks, iwb

Sigma Telecom (Finglas) www.fonefox.ie are the main SonyEricsson service center (the one SonyEricsson support mention) and have always been my first port of call for any Ericsson / SonyEricsson products (due to get a P800 updated next week with them) - with the launch of the P800 on O2 some more places should be like A Nova (Clondalkin) www.anovoss.ie (the service center O2 direct their customers to) *should* be able to help?

MPRC (Sandyford) www.mprc.ie tend to provide SE updates when the phones are released by the operators (e.g. T68i was released by Vodafone - they are the service center Voda direct their customers to) - i find them the best place for a Nokia service (when more than a sw update is needed or the Telephone Centre can't handle it)
