im getting an imac G3 tomorrow. not 100% sure the spec, but its at least 266Mhz (i think) cause its pink (Pink! any other color but pink, but its a mac so ill have to cope with the color!) and the imac "flavours" started @ g3 running @ 266Mhz, i think (or so i can gather from different sites). anyway, its got 32mb ram (osx 10.3 says it needs 128mb) and 4Gb hdd. my question is if i got the extra ram, which im looking at on www.crucial.com/uk and is working out about 43euro for a 128mb stick, and a new cd rom drive (which it needs), would it run OSX? 10.3 has a requriements page and it says it will, but speed wise. anyone tried a g3 imac @ about 233 or 266 with osx? does it crawl? is it usable? thanks in advance.

I've got a rev B (I think) iMac, the improved blue-green version, and after 128mb of extra RAM, Os X installed fine for me.. Make sure you get an updated version, though, I was running the very first release, and it wasn't very nice, I had trouble with the command line and other general persistant annoyances

well my plan is to get OSX 10.3 which is released tomorrow. well, i might. the software will cost as much as the mac its self, and then i have to get memory. might just try get a copy of 10.2 off someone who is upgrading to 10.3. im happy that it works though. sweet!
