After a previous post I got the email facilities working on the 7650.Apparently it was an O2 network problem.
But now for a few more questions!!!!
    Is the above possible ie.
Download a java game/application to your home PC.When you unzip it you get either a .sis file a .jad file or a .jar?? file.
When I email it to myself on the phone I get an unable to install error.

Am I doing something wrong or just sending the wrong file to myself.
    Any ideas???
    Thanks
    Richie.

You would probably be better to use a Bluetooth dongle. This would be the easiest way to send the apps/games to the phone!!

I've had no problem installing apps as you described on my Nokia 3650. Have you tried a few apps or just one?

The method you've described should work. One possibility is that the application is corrupted or not actually meant for use with the 7650.

Note also that a .jad is only a file descripter, not a full application. It would generally have a URL in it, which if incorrect would probably throw up the error you described.

Also other than using email or Bluetooth to put apps on your 7650, here's another option.

I assume you extract them from the Zip files first...

If so then chances are you need a RealOne Mobile Player to view them.

just to ckeck - did you open the downloaded zip file and unzip the password protected real media (.rm) file it contianed?

just sent one (.rm file) to the 7650 and it opened in the RealOne Player with no problems here...

@The Corinthian : Real Player comes installed already on the 3650.

I have put .rm's on my 3650 and it worked ok, i did it through bluetooth though.
